Signs and Symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease

Symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease can be confused with the normal changes that accompany aging. Alzheimer's Disease is not a normal part of the aging process though. Alzheimer's Disease is a progressive disease that affects the brain and can result in the following:

• Loss of memory
• Loss of ability to think and speak clearly
• Loss of ability to perform daily activities
• Changes in behavior

There is no cure for Alzheimer's Disease but there are prescription medications that will help slow down the process, help improve daily activities, and help maintain the individual's independence.
